The LFHS Cheerleading summer camp is open by invitation only. Both Varsity and JV Cheer run from June 12th to July 2nd. A password is required. Days vary - see schedule from coach The LFHS Cheerleading summer camp is a time when the members of the JV and Varsity squads will prepare for the fall season. During camp, the cheerleaders will work on skill-building, conditioning, and game-day routines. In the course of the two hour camp, the girls will focus on activities such as strength training to improve their stunting skills, tumbling to improve their game day appeal, and flexibility training to enhance their jumps and precision during dance routines. The camp begins with performance training techniques in preparation for the Lake Bluff Parade. The squads will practice cheers, stunts, tumbling and chants, so that they are ready for the annual Independence Day event. After the parade, squads will review old stunting, tumbling, and jumping skill, and they will work on learning new ones at our three day skill camp at Carthage College. As they are working together over the summer, there will also be a focus on team bonding and leadership development. By the end of camp, the coaches will choose the captains for the new squads, and the girls will be ready for a fantastic football season.
